Workshop Overview

Immerse yourself in the beauty of natural indigo dyeing in this hands-on workshop. Held in the serene setting of Jane Jacobs’s home studio, this one-day experience introduces you to traditional indigo dyeing techniques while allowing you to create something truly one-of-a-kind.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn about indigo vats, resist techniques, and natural fiber preparation.

  • Dye your own luxurious silk scarf (provided).

  • Experience a welcoming, creative environment with like-minded participants.

What’s Included:

  • 1 silk scarf for dyeing (provided).

  • Access to a natural indigo vat and all dyeing materials.

  • Guided instruction on shibori and traditional techniques.

  • Tea & coffee.

  • Small group setting for personal instruction.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing (indigo can be messy!)

  • Bag lunch

  • Optional: Additional natural-fiber pieces (cotton, linen, silk) to dye.
