Jane moved to Newmarket in 1987 and has been a fixture in the community since. Her home studio is an extension of her practice, fully integrated with the rest of her life. Materials are foraged from neighbourhood plants for printing and dyeing. The garden is home to workshops throughout the spring and summer, and the basement studio hosts during the colder months.

Jane Jacobs Textiles isn’t interested in appearing to be something we’re not. We are not a large team, we are not a scalable business, and we are not taking over the eco-fashion market.

We are mindful of how much we take on.We are constantly excited about the magic of our handmade processes. We are thrilled to see our pieces in the hands of people who love them.
