Join us for a one-day eco-printing workshop, where you’ll learn the art of botanical dyeing and printing using leaves, flowers, and natural minerals. Hosted at Jane Jacobs’ home studio, this hands-on class will guide you through eco-dyeing techniques to capture the beauty of nature on fabric and paper.
In this workshop, you will:
Learn how to extract natural pigments from plants and minerals.
Dye your own luxurious silk scarf using eco-printing techniques.
Explore Hapa Zome, the art of flower pounding to create prints on paper.
Enjoy a creative, relaxing day surrounded by nature.
What’s Included:
1 silk scarf for eco-printing (provided).
High-quality watercolor paper for Hapa Zome printing.
Access to natural dye materials, mordants, and tools.
Guided instruction in eco-dyeing, mordanting, and plant printing techniques.
Tea & coffee.
Small group setting for personal instruction.
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothing (natural dyes can be messy!)
Bag lunch
Optional: Additional natural-fiber pieces (cotton, linen, silk) to dye.
