Wearable Art

dyed & printed

with plants.

Jane Jacobs is a Canadian textile artist. She creates naturally dyed textiles using foraged plants, crafting unique silk scarves and revived garments. Jane teaches eco-printing and felting, blending craft, nature, and community in her home studio.

What does that mean?

Eco-dyeing is a sustainable process where natural plant materials, compost, and metals are used to dye fabric. By steaming or boiling the fabric with organic materials, unique, earthy colors and patterns are created, all without synthetic dyes or chemicals.
